ASI Telco Panel for Telecom Use

Packaged Hardware Solution

The ASI Telco Panel is a totally integrated system that arrives pre-programmed with a commissioning document for easy start-up. Terminal strips allow simple wiring connection to air conditioning units, sensors, actuators, lighting, and other equipment. A modem is included for dial-in from remote locations and dial-out to pagers, printers, or a computer in case of alarms. This panel can control up to two HVAC units and lighting or three units in CEVs, huts, shelters, and central offices.


 

 

 

Software Application

ASI Expert is a Windows-based software tool used to access controllers in telecommunication applications. The software allows simple display of current system conditions, alarms, and historical information. Expert enables users to monitor and record run time, and count starts on all equipment. It can also trend space, discharge, and outdoor air temperature, and alarm data.

Its features include:

  • Cost effective direct digital control of HVAC Equipment

  • Dialing Sites remotely to verify system operation

  • Alarming out when temperatures or equipment get out of range

  • Monitoring space, discharge and outdoor temperatures start and run history of equipment, alarm history, and system operations

  • Remotely start/stop equipment and verify system operation

  • Saving energy with occupied/unoccupied setting and more accurate temperature control of building

  • Easy-to-follow installation

In addition to typical controls, ASI addresses other projects with the needs of telephone companies in mind.  Some examples are: 

  • DC Power Load Monitoring (amperage & voltage)

  • Remote Monitoring and control of generators

  • Etherlink network connections utilizing customer’s internal network

  • Monitor and Demand limiting of utility power

  • Direct interface with Bard Wall-Mount "V" Module for easy installation

  • Monitor and control hydrogen levels in battery room

System Architecture:

  • Controls up to three HVAC Units

  • Monitors unit amp draw

  • Controls battery room exhaust fan

  • Modulates outside air, return air, and relief air dampers

  • Flexible time and date scheduling with real time battery-backed clock

  • Alarm reporting; includes alarm and event dial-out to monitoring stations

  • Monitors and controls space humidity (optional)

  • Monitors outdoor air relative humidity (optional)

  • Monitors and alarm airflow, filter, and lockout relay on units (optional)

 

Panel Accessories

Standard package includes the accessories required for most basic installations, including outdoor air sensors, space temperature sensors, and supply air sensors, as well as a modem. Capabilities of the panel can be expanded by the addition of optional sensors such as damper actuators, humidity sensors, current transformers, etc.
